Taman Awam Pangkalan Batu
Pangkalan Batu Urban Park is a park located in the centre of Klang and the border between North Klang and South Klang. This local riverfront recreational area is overlooking the Masjid Bandar Di Raja Klang on the opposite side of the river.
Interceptor 002
The Interceptor 002 is the 1st interceptor located in the year of 2019 at the Klang River as part of the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG) initiative. It is internet-connected, assisting our team to gather data collection, also enables the Interceptor to automatically notify our team once the dumpsters are full. The Interceptor 002 is capable to collect approximately 6 MT of garbage per day.
Water Quality Monitoring Station (WQMS)
Continuous River Water Quality Monitoring System (CRWQMS) is one of the smart elements of River Cleaning initiative of Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG). The principal reason for undertaking and implementing monitoring system is to verify the suitability of observed water quality for intended uses. Water quality data is used to determine the water quality status whether in a clean, slightly polluted or polluted category.
Log boom Sg. Pinang
A log boom is a barrier placed in a river, designed to collect, intercept and contain floating debris such as domestic waste, wetlands, logs, etc. Our log boom design is based on hydraulic study and to cater low and high tides of Klang River. Currently, the log booms are capable of pulling out 800 to 900 MT of garbage per month.
Stagnant Water location
The location of water tide intersects during high tide and low tide. The river water flow become stagnant and makes the floating debris stop flowing either upstream or downstream.
Interceptor 005
The 2nd Interceptor deployed at Klang River in 2021 sponsored by Coldplay, which also known as Neon Moon 1. It is located at the river mouth of Klang River. This is to intercept floating debris before it enters the ocean. The Interceptor 005 is capable to collect approximately 9.6 MT of garbage per day.
Mangrove Point
It is the only recreational park with an accumulated mangrove area of approximately 70 acres at Klang River. The biophilia concept design development adapted at the Mangrove Point makes it a suitable place for people to heal internally with the existing mangrove species. Lots of mudskippers, colorful fiddler crabs, lizards, birds and other species of fauna habitat can be found at Mangrove Point.
Pengkalan Nelayan Kpg. Sg. Sireh Tambahan 2
It is where local frozen SME products available here such as popia, otak-otak, satah, and keropok lekor to show ‘sapot local’ people. The operating hour is from 9.00am – 6.00pm, opening Monday to Friday and Saturday only operating till 1.00pm.
Pengkalan Nelayan Kpg. Sg. Delek
It is a fisherman jetty that can provides a fishermen’s life experience for tourists. There are fresh fishes that are also available here for tourists to buy. The operating hour only in early morning at 8.00am and the evening at 2.00pm.
