Silver Award for the Best Government Sustainability Initiative at the Gulf Sustainability Awards 2022

Landasan Lumayan Sdn Bhd (LLSB) has won the Silver Award for the Best Government Sustainability Initiative at the internationally recognised Gulf Sustainability Awards 2022.

To many it may just be Silver, but to us it means the moon as it is an international stamp on our efforts in reviving and transitioning Sungai Klang into a valuable asset and resource for Selangor through the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG) initiative. This award recognises Landasan Lumayan as a capable agent of change, and gives us the encouragement and support we need to further push our current journey to sustainably promote the recently announced Zon Pembangunan Ekonomi SMG (ZPE SMG), which is identified as a new economic driver under Rancangan Selangor Pertama.

We share this award with all our partners – municipalities, state agencies, consultants, NGOs, corporations – and most importantly, our parent company, Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated and the Selangor State Government who have entrusted this precious project to us.

This award also belongs to all Malaysians and we want you to know that the world recognises that we can save our rivers.

Nature gifted us beautiful rivers. We gave nature pollution. We need to fix our mess and regenerate it for our future generations. We will do this together.
