Trapping Plastics, Transforming the Klang River

With the support of The Ocean Cleanup and current sponsorship from Coldplay and AffinMy, we are making significant progress in rejuvenating the Klang River. Two innovative Interceptors are actively capturing plastic waste, working alongside our seven log booms to collect debris before it reaches the sea.

These solar-powered, fully automated vessels are each stationed on the river near Shah Alam and close to the river mouth, preventing plastic from escaping into our oceans. As we continue our efforts, a new sorting facility in Klang is set to recycle the extracted plastics, further enhancing our impact.

Together, we are not just cleaning a river, we are mitigating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and improving water quality for future use.
